Pickup and Delivery

Pickup at Floating Feather Farm

Pre-paid bouquets and other merchandise are available for pickup at Floating Feather Farm. There are no set hours as our schedule frequently changes, so please indicate a date and time preference for pickup and we will be in contact to schedule a pickup time. 

For certain merchandise, porch pickup from Floating Feather Farm is also available. If our schedule or yours doesn't warrant an in-person pickup, please request porch pickup and we will communicate the details.

Local Delivery 

If you would like your flowers delivered, please indicate the delivery address in the notes, along with contact information and requested delivery date and time. I will confirm delivery details with you ahead of time.

Note: We are offering both subscription and one-off delivery for the first time in 2021 due to request, on a trial basis. Floating Feather Farm is a single-person small business with a family and other obligations. I would like to be able to offer delivery as a convenience to you, but the delivery option is subject to change during the season as we determine how the logistics are working. However, if one-time deliveries are suspended mid-season, all pre-paid subscription deliveries will continue to be made.

Delivery Hand off: Given the perishable nature of cut flowers, it is preferable to hand them off in person so they can go into a cool area and into water. For one-time deliveries, products will be delivered on the date and time agreed upon. For subscription deliveries, see below for more detail.

 

If you will barely miss the delivery window, a jar or vase can be purchased for an additional fee and the flowers will be left on your porch. Alternatively, a jar or vase can be left on the porch with water and we will deliver the flowers into the jar. This option is acceptable if it won't be too long before you will return. For cooler days (<75-80*), flowers can stay on the porch longer. However, if above 80-85*, flowers will not be able to sit on a porch for long without wilting. Given weather and other conditions outside of our control, while no set timeframe can be stated to ensure the quality of cut flowers outside, if cut flowers are set in the shade and in water, 30 min to an hour would be the maximum recommended time, though we can not provide a guarantee and can't be held liable for wilted flowers that are left outside. 

It is the responsibility of the buyer or recipient to ensure you will return to care for your flowers shortly after delivery. Once delivered, the recipient is responsible for the quality of the flowers or other goods. Floating Feather Farm takes no responsibility for product quality after delivery, or for missing goods after delivery. See product warranty below for additional information.

Subscription Deliveries: Subscriptions can be​ purchased for pickup or for delivery for an added fee. The section below describes subscriptions purchased with the additional delivery fee.

  • Subscription delivery fees: Within the subscription product page, subscriptions can either be purchased with delivery or without delivery. Deliveries to all locations other than Eagle are $15. If you live within Eagle and would like complementary delivery, please communicate your preference in the notes and purchase the non-delivery bouquet. Delivery area purchased will be confirmed ahead of time. Please do not choose a delivery fee for an area in which you do not reside or your order will be cancelled.

  • Subscriptions will be delivered on the weekend, typically on Saturday afternoon. Delivery dates and times are subject to change but will be communicated ahead of time. Some select deliveries will need to be made mid-week; which will also be communicated ahead of time.

  • If you know you won't be home in a reasonable amount of time within the delivery window, please communicate ahead of time. Subscriptions can skip a week or consolidate weeks if needed so long as the rescheduled week is before the first frost.

  • Jars and vases can be purchased at any time as an add-on. If you choose to purchase a jar or vase on a specific week and you are not home during the delivery window, we will deliver the bouquet to your porch.

  • A jar or vase can also be purchased in the beginning of a delivery subscription, to be used throughout the length of the subscription. If requested, for the second week and all following weeks, if the empty jar is placed on the porch, we can swap out the jar with a fresh jar each week. Please refer to the delivery hand-off section for the acceptable length of time flowers should be left outside unattended.

  • If no one comes to the door for a delivery and no jar/water is left or purchased, the delivery will not be made and your bouquet will be donated. 

One-Time Deliveries:

  • One-time delivery can be purchased as an add-on.

  • One-Time Delivery FeesDeliveries within Eagle are complimentary. Deliveries within Garden City, Meridian and Star are $12, and deliveries within Boise and Middleton are $15. Delivery area purchased will be confirmed ahead of time. Please do not choose a delivery fee for an area in which you do not reside or your order will be cancelled.

  • For one-time deliveries, products will be delivered on the date and time agreed upon. 

  • Jars and vases can be purchased at any time as an add-on. 

  • If you or the recipient will not be home during the agreed-upon window, if a jar was purchased, the flowers will be left in a shady spot. Please see notes above on delivery hand-off. 

Return & Exchange Policy

Due to the nature of flowers or consumables being perishable products, returns or refunds after pickup or delivery will not be accepted. Prior to pickup, we will ensure your flowers and other products meet our quality standards. Please see our section on flower care to ensure all of the proper steps after pickup or delivery are taken to ensure the longevity of your blooms. However, if you have any questions or concerns with your flowers, please contact us; we want to ensure you are happy with your purchase! 

Product Warranty 

Floating Feather Farm does everything possible to ensure that cut flowers are up to quality standards. Please see our section on flower care to see the steps we take, and to ensure all of the proper steps are taken on your end to ensure the longevity of your blooms.  

Once flowers or other products are handed off, it is the responsibility of the buyer to ensure proper care. This includes not leaving perishable products unwatered or in a hot car for extended periods of time.

Retention of Right to Change Offerings

We may, without prior notice, change the products offered; stop providing the products or any part of the products we offer; or create limits for the products. We may permanently or temporarily terminate or suspend access to the products without notice and liability for any reason, or for no reason.
